We wanted to post a small tribute to Tango, the most amazing dog I have ever known. She suffered injuries that required us to cut her life short--but we believe that after you've seen these photos, you'll agree that her life was a pretty incredible one. To Tango.
Day 1!
What a cute couple of gals. :)
Okay, her kennel used to be here. Until my recliner showed up. Having a tough time with the transition...
Still fighting it. :)
Viewing a Porsche car show on the capitol lawn!
Noble beast surveying Flaming Gorge. One of the many many camping trips she enjoyed.
A fetching champion, and her skills were not limited to the lawn.
Jordanelle Reservoir, UT
The moment we realized we needed a bigger apartment. :)
First trip to Petsmart!
Jahnier's happy place, and safe place, was the bed in the early morning hours to avoid the boundless energy of the pup.
Truly a meat lover.
Ears just starting to stand up!
It must have dropped below 60 degrees...
Brenda and Tango out for a walk!
Sunbathing.
Tango absolutely loved the snow. She loved to play and burrow as deep as she could.
City Creek Canyon, two blocks from our apartment.
We always video-chatted when I was on the road. ;)
Frisbee?!?!?!
This picture was taken immediately following her descent through the ceiling. During her fearless inspection of my office space, she located the one space of the mezzanine that did not have any plywood--and came crashing down into the office.
Overnight backpacking adventure to some natural hot springs on the Devil's Fork Trail in Spanish Fork, UT.
All ears. Literally.
Antelope Island, Great Salt Lake.
Flaming Gorge, eastern Utah/Wyoming.
Goblin Valley in southern Utah.
Overnight trip to Lake Alexander (accessible only by 4x4 :) )
Guarding the path to our tent on another one of her many mountain adventures.
Two-day paddling trip through Ruby-Horsethief section of the Colorado River.
Tango was second to none. She was so in tune with both of us, had an amazing vocabulary, and was an absolutely fearless companion. We miss her very much, and know that a dog of her caliber will not be easily replaced.
